In 1967 I worked as a secretary at the Detroit Police Department. I remember the military all around 1300 Beaubien every day. I also remember that I was walked to my car by Old St. Mary's Church with police officers carrying rifles. It was a very scary time in Detroit. We were also told to stay home for a few days until we were contacted to return to work..
