In 1967, I was with ladies from my golf league. We were going to play golf on Belle Isle.....but it was closed. That was STRANGE. On gal was a member of the Edison Club - so we went there.
We spent Sunday afternoon there....then, one member said - I want to know why things are so STRANGE. I want to get to my television - so we went to her home.
What we saw seemed to be incredible. Still seem incredible today.
Then I heard that my dear first cousin, Jerome Olshove, was shot and killed ! He was a police officer with a young wife and two children (babies). He was shot in his stomach by a looter that grabbed his gun.
To this day - whenever I drive down I-75 past the Holbrook (where he was murdered) exit - I weep for my cousin.
